Privacy Policy

How AeroPath handles your data.

This Privacy Policy explains what information AeroPath collects, why it is used, how it is protected and how you can contact us about your account, subscription, simulator flight data and Pilot Portal information.

AeroPath is built for flight simulation. The flight data processed by AeroPath relates to simulator activity, not real-world aircraft operation or real-world flight tracking.

Privacy contact

For privacy, account or data questions, contact AeroPath at support@aeropath.co.uk.

1. Who we are

AeroPath is a flight simulator companion service that provides a website account, desktop app login, automatic flight logging, Pilot Portal, flight history, route memory, landing review and related simulator companion features.

You can contact us at support@aeropath.co.uk.

2. Account data we collect

When you create an AeroPath account, we may collect your email address, password hash, display name, callsign, account status, role, login session information and app session information.

3. Subscription and payment data

AeroPath uses Stripe to manage subscriptions and payments. We may store Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, plan status, renewal dates, cancellation status and payment status. AeroPath does not store full card numbers.

4. Simulator flight data

The AeroPath desktop app may send simulator flight data such as simulator type, aircraft, callsign, flight number, departure airport, arrival airport, stand or gate, route, flight duration, distance, landing rate, timestamps and SimBrief references.

5. Route and replay data

Where supported by the app, AeroPath may process route and replay-related data such as position points, altitude, speed, heading, flight path, approach information and landing data so you can review completed simulator flights in the Pilot Portal.

6. Live map data

If live map features are enabled, the desktop app may send recent simulator position data such as latitude, longitude, altitude, groundspeed, heading, aircraft, callsign, departure and arrival airports. This data is used to show active AeroPath simulator flights in the Pilot Portal.

7. Visibility of live flights

Live map features may allow other active AeroPath subscribers to see limited live simulator flight information, such as callsign, aircraft, route and current simulator position. AeroPath will only show recent active simulator flights and will not show inactive users indefinitely.

8. Technical data

We may process technical data such as login timestamps, app session tokens, device or app identifiers, IP-related server logs, browser information, error information and basic website analytics.

9. Why we use your data

We use data to create and secure accounts, provide the Pilot Portal, enable desktop app login, prevent account sharing, process subscriptions, sync simulator flight data, provide support, troubleshoot issues and improve AeroPath.

10. Lawful basis

We process account, subscription and app data to provide the AeroPath service you request. We may also process data for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, service improvement, support, diagnostics and protecting the service.

11. Analytics

AeroPath uses Google Analytics to understand website traffic, page usage and general visitor activity. This helps us improve the website and understand which pages are useful.

12. Cookies and sessions

AeroPath uses cookies and sessions to keep you logged in, protect your account, manage secure access to subscriber areas and support website analytics.

13. Sharing data

We may share limited data with service providers required to operate AeroPath, such as website hosting, database hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing and technical support providers.

14. Data retention

We keep account, subscription and simulator flight data while your account is active or while needed to provide the service, resolve support issues, meet legal obligations, prevent misuse or maintain accurate records.

15. Security

Passwords are stored as password hashes, not plain text. AeroPath also uses web session protection, app session tokens, admin controls and secure reset links to help protect accounts from unauthorised access or sharing.

16. Password resets

If you request a password reset, AeroPath creates a secure reset token that expires after a limited time and can only be used once. Reset tokens are not stored as plain text.

17. Your rights

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, or to object to certain uses of your data where applicable.

18. Account deletion

If you want your AeroPath account reviewed or deleted, contact support using the email address linked to your account. Some information may need to be retained where required for legal, billing, security or record-keeping reasons.
