Create an account, install AeroPath, connect Microsoft Flight Simulator or X-Plane, prepare a route and let the app follow the flight automatically from gate to gate.
First-flight overview
Use AeroPath on the simulator PC or on a separate laptop.
AeroPath and the simulator on the same computer
Install AeroPath Desktop on the Windows PC running MSFS or X-Plane. This is the simplest setup and does not require the Simulator Bridge.

Simulator on one PC and AeroPath on a laptop
Install AeroPath Desktop on the laptop and Simulator Bridge on the simulator PC. Pair the two devices using the six-digit code shown by the Bridge.

- Enter the simulator PC address
- Pair once using the six-digit PIN
Your first AeroPath flight, step by step.
Follow these steps once. After setup, most flights only require you to open AeroPath, prepare the route and fly.
Create your account
Register on the AeroPath website using the email address and password you want to use in both the website and desktop app.
Download the app
Open the Download page and install AeroPath Desktop on the computer where you want to use the main dashboard.
Choose local or Remote Mode
For same-PC use, no additional software is needed. For a separate laptop, install Simulator Bridge on the simulator PC and pair the devices.
Sign in to AeroPath
Open AeroPath Desktop and use the same account details. Your 7-day trial begins from the first successful app login.
Choose your language
Use Automatic to follow the Windows display language where supported, or select English, German, French or Spanish directly in AeroPath Settings.
Start the simulator
Open MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024 or X-Plane 12 and load the aircraft you plan to fly. AeroPath will detect the supported simulator connection.
Create or import the flight
Import a SimBrief OFP, choose a Real World Route, build a VFR flight or use AeroPath's planning tools.
Set up multiplayer if required
Create or join a Group Flight and enable AeroPath multiplayer traffic when you want to fly with other participating pilots. Shared Cockpit is currently in trial and will be added to this guide once the final workflow is confirmed.
Select taxi-out guidance
Choose the departure runway and activate progressive taxi guidance. Follow the blue route where usable airport taxi-network data is available.
Release the brake and fly
There is no Start Flight button. AeroPath detects the flight phases automatically while you operate the aircraft normally.
Use taxi-in guidance after landing
After leaving the runway, AeroPath can generate a progressive route towards suitable parking where supported by the airport data.
Park at the destination
Set the parking brake and complete the sector. AeroPath recognises the parked state and saves the flight automatically.
Review the flight
Open the landing analysis, replay, Flight History or Pilot Hub to review the completed route and performance.
No separate ACARS start/finish workflow.
AeroPath watches the simulator connection, aircraft movement and flight phases, records the journey while you fly and saves the result when you park at the destination.
Most of the system runs automatically while you fly.
Detects the simulator
AeroPath identifies a supported MSFS or X-Plane connection and begins receiving the available aircraft data.
Tracks flight phases
The app follows taxi-out, take-off, climb, cruise, descent, approach, taxi-in and parked states.
Updates the live map
Position, route and current flight information are shown through the AeroPath dashboard and connected services.
Shares multiplayer data
When enabled, AeroPath shares the required aircraft and position details with other participating AeroPath pilots.
Records landing data
AeroPath captures the available touchdown and arrival information for the landing review.
Saves the completed flight
The route, aircraft, timing, landing and replay data are added to your AeroPath history after parking.
Multiplayer and Group Flights are ready when you need them.
AeroPath can connect participating pilots across MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12. Group Flights keep pilots on the same shared sector, while Shared Cockpit is currently in trial and coming soon.
Check these items before reporting a problem.
- Confirm AeroPath Desktop is signed in
- Confirm the supported simulator is running
- For Remote Mode, confirm Simulator Bridge is running in the tray
- Confirm both remote devices are on the same local network
- Check that the pairing code has been accepted
- Check whether the airport scenery contains usable taxi-network data
