Understand every AeroPath setting.
The Settings page is the control centre for your AeroPath account, desktop access, SimBrief connection, language, local app folders, simulator components, aircraft model libraries, voice announcements and multiplayer display preferences.
Account and desktop access
The first two panels show who is signed in and whether the desktop app currently has permission to use AeroPath services.
Account identity
Review the signed-in email address, AeroPath Pilot ID, display name, callsign, account status and account role. Passwords remain masked and are never displayed in plain text.
Desktop access
Check whether administrator, trial, complimentary or paid access is active. The panel can also show the plan, access end date and current app-session expiry.
SimBrief
SimBrief is optional. AeroPath can still track flights and use its planning tools without it, but connecting a Pilot ID allows the app to retrieve your latest Operational Flight Plan.
Save the Pilot ID
Enter the numeric SimBrief Pilot ID and select Save. The saved value remains available on that computer until it is changed.
Fetch the latest OFP
Use Fetch Latest OFP to confirm the connection and retrieve the most recent route, aircraft, registration, flight number, cruise level, runways, SID, STAR, route and fuel information.
Language and local app information
Choose the desktop display language and review local diagnostic information for the AeroPath installation.
Language
Select Automatic to follow the Windows display language where a translation is available, or choose English, German, French or Spanish directly. The preference is saved on the computer.
Local app details
Review the installed app version, cache folder, log folder and website API connection status. These details are useful when diagnosing an installation or connection problem.
X-Plane 12 integration
The X-Plane area checks the AeroPath Traffic plugin and the CSL aircraft model library used for multiplayer traffic and simulator-side features.
Plugin status and repair
Compare the installed and available plugin versions. Repair Installation can restore required files, while Locate X-Plane 12 points AeroPath to the correct simulator folder.
CSL model library
Review indexed package, model, aircraft and airline totals. Locate CSL Library selects the model folder and Rescan Models rebuilds the index after models are added or updated.
Model-match check
Enter an aircraft ICAO code and optional airline ICAO code to see whether AeroPath can find a matching CSL definition before a multiplayer flight.
Remote Mode
When AeroPath Desktop runs on a separate laptop, simulator-side components belong on the Simulator Bridge PC where X-Plane is installed.
Microsoft Flight Simulator integration
The MSFS area checks progressive taxi-guidance files and the aircraft models available for displaying participating AeroPath pilots.
Taxi-guidance package
Review whether the AeroPath taxi-guidance package is installed and up to date. Repair Installation restores the package and Locate Community Folder confirms the active MSFS Community location.
MSFS aircraft models
AeroPath scans safe compatible aircraft models and reports the aircraft, airline and configuration totals available for multiplayer model matching.
Model-match check
Enter the aircraft and airline ICAO codes to preview the model AeroPath expects to use. Rescan Models refreshes the library after installing or removing aircraft packages.
MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024
The detected Community folder depends on the installed simulator edition and installation type. Always confirm that the displayed path belongs to the simulator you intend to use.
Voice announcements and multiplayer
These controls decide whether AeroPath plays local voice messages and how participating pilots appear inside the simulator.
Voice announcements
Enable or disable AeroPath startup and simulator-status voice messages. This preference affects the current computer.
Show other AeroPath pilots
Enable simulator multiplayer traffic for participating AeroPath users. During an active Group Flight, visibility can be limited to accepted group members.
X-Plane aircraft labels
Choose whether labels include Pilot ID, pilot name and aircraft type. Untick every label option to hide X-Plane labels completely.
Label colour and preview
Select the preferred label colour and use the preview to confirm the final combination before returning to the simulator.
Understanding status colours
Status text is designed to show quickly whether a component is ready or needs attention. Always read the accompanying message because it gives the exact reason and recommended action.
Connected, installed, detected, indexed or up to date.
An update, path check or user action may be required.
A required component is missing, invalid or unable to connect.
Normal account, version, folder, route or preference information.
Quick troubleshooting order
Work through the controls in this order when a simulator component, aircraft model or connection is not detected.
1. Read the status message
Confirm which simulator, folder, version or library AeroPath has detected before changing anything.
2. Locate the correct folder
Use Locate X-Plane 12, Locate Community Folder or Locate Model Folder when the displayed path is not the installation you use.
3. Repair or rescan
Repair Installation restores AeroPath components. Rescan Models refreshes aircraft libraries without reinstalling the simulator.
4. Collect useful details
Note the AeroPath app version, simulator edition, exact status text and log-folder location before requesting support.
